Selected from the core production areas of Xiangtan and Changde in Hunan Province (a China National Geographical Indication product), these lotus seeds come with intact lotus skins and cores, giving off a natural and fresh lotus fragrance.
The lotus skins are rich in dietary fiber and polyphenolic substances, while the green cores contain lotusine, a natural heat - clearing component. Together with the lotus flesh, they can strengthen the spleen and kidneys, and calm the mind, meeting the health - preservation needs of modern people.
Only lotus seeds that are uniformly sized, free from insect damage and mold are selected. After shelling, the lotus flesh is thick and firm, and it becomes soft and fluffy when cooked without falling apart. They can be sealed and stored for 12 - 18 months.
